It’s Official – Cody is Cancer FREE!
We have heard from Dr. Kendrick today and the final pathology from the stomach and all of the lymph nodes shows that surgery was a success and they got all of the cancer!! There was no cancer found in any of the lymph nodes and the findings of the stomach were conclusive that the cancer was on the surface layer, and we caught it early! As of the evening of Thursday 4/18/24, Cody became cancer free. No words can share the impact of this news! I am beyond grateful for the surgeons and our wonderful support team! Thank you all!!

A Quick Update
Cody is healing well and is going through the process of learning what he can and cannot eat right now. It is a long process and will take time to try things and learn what his body will reject. Cody has decided to be back at his place in Lindstrom to chill and be with his cats. We will see how the week goes and hopefully he will continue to get stronger and able to eat more as he heals. We still do not have the final pathology reports from his stomach and lymph nodes, so we are not yet…

Cody Progress Update
Hi all. We are home but wanted to give a quick update on our hospital stay and where we are at with healing and eating. Before we talk about an update – Having a TG or Total Gastrectomy is identified as being a Sea Horse. Sea Horses do not have stomachs. Cody and I are partial to the Platypus, which also doesn’t have a stomach. Feels more like us, lol: odd, scary, deadly (to things like cancer) and not like any other creature. TEAM PLATYPUS!! To get discharged, Cody had to show that he could get around walking (with help)…
