Well, now things are real. Surgery is scheduled and we have a timeline for recovery. Wow, I can say that both of us are a little scared. It is surprising that when you actually put it on the calendar an unexpected fear creeps into the relief that we have been feeling with getting closer to the answers we need.
Surgery is set for next Thursday, April 3rd. I will be there in the morning and am scheduled for the actual surgery at 1:00. It is planned that I will only be in the hospital the one night and then able to come home to recover.
I have already had a couple people ask about coming to visit. Due to the short hospital stay I do not think it would be something that we want. As far as at home, at this time I honestly do not know how I will feel after surgery. I would like to leave the question of visits up to a later time to ensure that I am able to rest and get better.
Thank you again for all the prayers. We are all very appreciative of your support!
Good night all!
Mel

More prayers headed your way. I shared you with the Koinonia family. It was a good weekend. You will do fine and just remember that you have a lot of people to help in any way that you need them, including me. I love you!!

Good decisions! Fear is normal. You are well supported and loved! We know you aren’t going anywhere so visits can wait for when you’re ready. No need to rush! Just focus on getting better and healing from the surgery 🙂

The fear is normal. You will be in my thoughts and prayers and love with a lot of other people this weekend as I am making a Koinonia weekend. i also
think you are wise in waiting for a while before having company. You will need rest and time to feel better. stay positive my dear, there is a lot of love out here for you, Jim and the rest of the family. I love you so very much, Mom
