Jim went back to work today and I was home for the day by myself. Unfortunately short term disability only pays for me being off work. I was able to see Cody for a few minutes before he left for school this morning which was nice and found the note in the picture below on the white board by the door. 🙂 No worries, I didn’t do any housework. Didn’t even have a desire to do any either.

It was a pretty quiet day. I emptied my drains myself but was unable to strip the lines so Jim did that when he came home. After doing my exercises, having lunch and taking my meds I was wiped out. I took a good three hour nap until Cody got home from school. Tonight was the first “hot dog” night. It has been a running joke that I will be eating hot dogs for the whole time that Jim is cooking. Thank God that has not been true. Actually he has been feeding me very well with dinners of seasoned fish, grilled beef roast and pork loin and lots of veggies. I got to have the leftovers from last night! I could get used to him cooking!
Cody’s dad has been so nice to let Cody stay with us this week. Cody and I have been watching movies at night after he is done with homework. It has bee so nice to just hang with him. 🙂 He also has been helping a lot with getting me stuff and doing dishes. Also heard from Alex today which was very nice to chat with her a bit. I love all my kids sooooooooo much!
The second picture below is a gift from a friend at work. She knows my love of minions and has tasked me with making some minion “hama bead” key chains. It should be fun to figure out if I can do this. I have never been “crafty” but looks like I should be able to figure it out. Thank you Lori for the box of fun. I will see what I can do over the next few weeks off.

Still haven’t heard about the pathology of the tumor. Hope to hear soon as it is kind of hanging over our heads. Have another appointment with the plastic surgeon group tomorrow. Hope this appointment goes better than yesterday. May be able to get another drain removed! 🙂 Maybe two but I am skeptical about the left side. The left side has had the most drain amounts and pain. This was also the side that had the tumor so not sure if that is why it hurts more. At least I know to make sure I am solid on my meds before going to this appointment. Don’t need a repeat.
Have a good evening. Hope to have new news soon.

I am hoping your appointment went well today. I told Jim last night that usually no news is good news. Let us know if you need anything. We aren’t far away. Best of luck with the next few weeks in recovery. Oh, and I can’t wait until you can dance again! Miss you by my side.
