A small delay

My special pillow that the radiation team made apparently had an issue sometime between when they shrunk it to my head and arm and today.  They created a new pillow however because it wasn’t the original exact position they were unable to line of the machine to my tattoos.  After what seemed like forever they decided to stop.  I had another cat scan and a new plan is being created for the angles of the radiation beams.  They do not like starting radiation on a Friday since there is a such a wait over the weekend.  This means that I will be starting my radiation on Monday and I will go through the first week of September.  The doctor said that this is only the 2nd time that they have had this issue.  Guess I truly am the special and difficult one.  🙂  My ride home was messed up too with Hwy 61 being closed due to a what looked like a cement truck rolled on its side.

At least my morning went well.  Had the appointment with the genetic counselor and have my blood work in the mail to the lab to find out if I have the BRCA 1 or 2 genes.  This is a breast cancer indicator (and other cancers) and knowing this will help determine some answers for me and whether others in my family should want to be tested.

The highlight of the day was my son getting his permit. 🙂  We now have a new driver in our family.  I also got to see my dear friends Jules and Kara at All Saints today.  Glad we got a few minutes to spend together.  Thank you Sandy for the caps.  I really like them and that was very nice of you to have them sent to me.

Have a great night all!

I’m not so sure about difficult but I do know that you are special!! Cody’s picture with his permit was special. Great kid you’ve got there. Of course I’m predjuced but then he’s my grandson.
when the DNA testing comes back how much will you learn about your own?
There are new people on the prayer chain. The K- Vets wives have added you to their prayer lists. Take care. I love you so much.
