My personal motto. Over the weekend I was thinking about all the things that we learn to live without. It may be food, people or even body parts. It made me think that as long as I remember to LIVE my life, I can learn to live without a lot. I took this picture when we were up camping with my brother this last fall. It seemed fitting for my new motto.
Stop #8 – Saturday we were able to squeeze in a very short trip up to Princeton to have lunch with my Mom and Jerry. The place we went to didn’t have any special item I wanted but it had history. Both my oldest sister and I worked at this restaurant when we were in high school. It was nice to go back. Thanks K-Bob for a nice lunch. 🙂 Thank you to mom and Jerry for adjusting your weekend to fit us in. We love you!

Stop #9 was at home. 🙂 Jim made us (what I think should be famous) his pan fried catfish and shrimp. It was phenomenal as always. Thank you honey for indulging my taste buds! I know I am hoping that I will be able to continue to have this in the future.

Stop #10. Well, this stop was a huge one. Manny’s Steakhouse. If you have ever been you know it is an amazing place. I had the bone-in filet mignon. It was mouth wateringly tender. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without the generosity of leaders of my department at work. We had an amazing meal. Thank you so very much. The waitress even gave us free dessert and wished me luck on my journey. Thank you Nancy! You were great! I know that some of you may know the people that I work for and many of you do not. Over the last eleven months I have had the unique opportunity to see the human, caring side of my leadership team. They have listened to me, prayed for me and made sure that I understood that they cared. All the way down from the EVP of Ops they have fully been there for me. They put projects on hold when I was out, managed my team and picked up my slack. They didn’t even hesitate to support me a second time in less than a year. I am truly blessed and very thankful that I work in the department that I do. I wish my words could express the deep gratitude that I feel for everything you have done. I couldn’t have made it through the cancer part without your support and I am so relieved that I still have that support as I face this next challenge. Thank you for the amazing dinner that Jim, Cody and I were able to have this evening.

I know that I have had many people want to take me to their favorite places. I would love to but am getting down to the wire for time. Tomorrow is Alex’s 21st birthday and next weekend is all about celebrating her day. That only leaves one final weekend and I know that even if I tried I cannot eat that much in one weekend. Please know that I love you all and am blessed that you are all in my life.
