Time is set

Good news! Blood test was NEGATIVE!!! This means that surgery is on. I have checked in on the Mayo batline and my check-in time is 8:30 tomorrow morning. This means that surgery will likely be around 10:30 or so. The surgery is estimated to be about 4.5 hours. This puts the time around 3:00 that I am done. I am thinking that it will be after 4:00 before Jim will have an update. He has promised that he will update on here when he has info.

My coworkers can start playing the Operation game anytime after 10:30. Just don’t make any mistakes!! πŸ™‚

I had a thought to write about the other people that may be staying at this hotel and waiting for the next step in their journey. Unfortunately, I booked us to stay in the Bates motel so we are headed to the bar to watch the hockey game and have a beer. Not like sleep was going to be easy tonight.

Thank you all again for the amazing support. You have all given me so much strength. Wish me some wonder woman wrist bands for tomorrow. πŸ™‚

Thinking of you every moment today; confident you’re in the right place doing the right thing, and trusting God’s will in a hugely successful surgery. Hang in there, Jim….you’re a wonderful husband to Mel.

Hi Melanie – the only thing I want you to remember about your potluck is how much fun everyone had and all of the amazing food that they brought and if you added any more pounds to the already five pounds you told me your gained from all the restaurants! I am thinking about you and Jim and Cody every single minute of the day today – you’re all very special to all of us and we love you.
