Cody Updates by Mom

I am happy to report that the first leg of paperwork has been completed.  Thanks to Linda, the Princeton Dental Clinic the Funeral Home in Princeton and the social workers, I have all of the paperwork completed for the Medical Assistance. YAY!  Now we wait for the answer.

Mom is doing pretty good.  Mornings continue to be very hard for her when the nurses are doing care rounds.  By lunchtime she is doing better and after lunch is even conversing with the staff.  Today the nurse told me that she even smiled and laughed with them.  This is such an improvement from a couple days ago.

The doctor did blood work today and everything looks good.  Part of the urine culture came back.  At 24 hours it had 20,000 colonies and at 48 hours it had 100,000 colonies.  The bacteria type was still listed as unknown.  The nurse said that they are now going to look at what the culture determined and prescribe an antibiotic.

Jim and I are going up on Sunday with Alex and Cody to celebrate Mom’s birthday.  We will bring all of the cards that we have.  If you want to send a card for her birthday after you can either send it to me or to the hospital at the address below.
