Today when I closed my eyes
I saw you both
Standing on heaven’s shore

Earth’s sky lapping softly
Splashing on your toes

Hand in hand you went quietly along
Down a golden dock
Peace and love flowing out from you

You looked down at the earth’s sky
A twinkle in your eye

Sitting together at the end of the dock
You dipped in your toes
Wiggling them in the ocean of the night

Color swirled and rippled around as you moved
Causing a swirl of aurora light

Your giggle lit the heavens bright
As you create with your feet
The northern lights you always loved

You skipped a stone across the surface of the moon
Sending a star shooting down

Dad hugged you close and whispered
Welcome home my love

The night sky stares at me through the window
As I slowly open my eyes
Hanging tightly to the memory of you

I see a star shooting across the night sky
And I know you are with me
