Cody Updates by Mom

Next Wednesday, April 3rd, we will be meeting with the surgeon at Mayo. Dr. Kendrick was the surgeon that performed my Total Gastrectomy 9 years ago and we are very happy to be able to get on his schedule next week.

We hope to understand his direction on next steps with surgery and timing. We also look to understand what would be next after surgery for possible oncology treatment.

We are hopeful that with the CT scan results not showing any metastatic cancer in other organs, that surgery will be an option to remove all of the cancer from Cody.

While this surgery, a total gastrectomy (known as a TG) is very drastic and will require Cody to learn how to eat differently but, in the end, he would be cancer free.

I am very hopeful that a bit of good karma will come with us as April 3rd, 2024, is my 10-year anniversary of being cancer free.
