Cody is still doing well but it has been a long day. He was able to get out of bed a few times (with nurse help) and also took a very small walk. While all this is good and needed to happen to be able to get discharged, it did take a lot out of him.
Tonight, he has had a lot more pain and has been having issues keeping his O2 levels up when he is trying to sleep. The docs came in for rounds and they have upped his pain meds. The last couple of hours he has been more down and just feeling crummy. The nurses have put him back on a low level of O2 in the last hour.
Cody did not get to pureed food today. He is still on a liquid diet, and they will revisit eating in the morning. With the increased meds in his system now, we are hopeful that he will be able to get some good sleep. It will really help that he will not be setting off the O2 alarm every time he doses off.
Cody is looking forward to seeing his cousins tomorrow for a visit and having someone other than me bugging him, lol.
There is a small possibility that we will be able to go home Sunday but in reality, it is looking more like a discharge on Monday.
