Well now…What’s with the white crap!

Image result for snow picturesWhat do you do in Minnesota during the middle of April when spring refuses to show up?  Well, there are many things that you may want to do.  I have been thinking about some options as I sit and wait for the 8-18 inches of snow that is knocking at the door.

If you live here you clearly know that tonight, tomorrow and Sunday are going to suck.  The weather report causes moments of cursing and wondering “why oh why do I live in this crap” thoughts.  I think I may have cursed out an ancestor or two today about choosing to make their lives in the tundra.  Why does spring hate us?

Instead of sitting upstairs in my living room watching the white crap fall from the sky, I have decided to spend it with something I love.  Words, music and the basement.  Thank you god for beer, music and blogs.  🙂

So, what do we do?  We “HUNKER DOWN” and ride out the storm.  Ugh.  Really??  What the hell does “hunker” mean.  I looked it up.  It means “hide”.  Yep!  Totally on the “Hunker Down” bandwagon.  What does this mean to me?  Well, on the way home I called the hubby to see if we needed anything at the store.  We are not planning to leave the house tomorrow so wanted to make sure we could survive.  I ended up at the liquor store.  We already had eggs, hamburger, cheese and bacon so I didn’t need to go to the grocery store.  The liquor store was crazy busy.  I guess everyone else in the state was “hunkering down” and needed a little warmth.  The guy at the register said I was there during the “lull”.  Yikes!

We do things like download the “WTForecast App” that will tell you the real forecast with the sarcasm needed in this situation.  We listen to music loudly to annoy the college kid that is likely sad that he came home this weekend.

I have been trying to think of what others may do with this lovely spring-time winter we are having.  I honestly do not think there will be many snowmen made in the state or even the thought of it.  I mean, if you are happy enough to make one, I seriously wonder about your brain state of mind.  However, a parent may have forces you outside and then what do you do.  That is when I would want to have a “Calvin and Hobbes” day of snowmen.  Hee hee.  Still the best cartoon on the planet!

I think that the best thing I can do is make a “hot dish” and complain about the weather while I use words like “uff da”, “oy vey”, and “geesh” because the words I would want to use are not appropriate for the blog.  Oh well.

Things on the list for this weekend.  Making Cody play “The Princess Bride” Monopoly game with me, playing the Minion Life Game, watching randomness on the TV and trying to annoy the kid as much as possible.  I mean, why wouldn’t I?  I may have taken a pic or two of the boy in a minion hat.  Oops.  Guess I will not tell him that I am sharing.  Hee hee.

Have a happy weekend of pretending it is not still the dead of winter in this “lovely” place we seem to all landed in.  May mother nature get a grip on her psychotic ways of indecision that leads to crabby Minnesotans!  Whatever other weather God can help us please send something other than white crap from the sky!!

Saw ya at g-will. You walked in right in front of me, but you looked like you were on a mission so I didn’t bug ya. At least we had the same idea to cope with the snow!
