Cody Updates by Mom

Cody is awake and doing well!! What a different sight from last night when he was brought into the room. After 7 hours of surgery, he was pretty out of it.

Dr. Kendrick came in this morning and the feeling is still that we caught this really early and he is super happy that we chose to do the testing now. We likely have just dodged a huge bullet with this cancer.

Cody is off the IV’s and only on oxygen at this time. He should be off that yet today. He has had water and apple juice to start the day. We are looking to try some pureed food this afternoon. They will get Cody up and moving today to help in the healing process.

We are thinking that we will be in the hospital for the next couple of days. A lot of it depends on eating and healing of the innards.
